Ignitas portfolio company and social music marketplace, Gogoyoko, covered by TV8 Sweden

The Iceland-based social music marketplace, Gogoyoko, was recently covered in the Swedish television broadcast channel TV8 Sweden. While the Pirate Bay and its supporters are fighting for “illegal” file sharing, Gogoyoko was mentioned providing a new breed of distribution models. By serving a direct link between the artist and the consumer, at Gogoyoko the artists are able to upload their music to the site, and then directly sell it to the listener. Ignitas porteføljeselskap og markedsplass for musikk på nett, Gogoyoko, ble nylig omtalt i den svenske TV kanalen TV8 Sverige. Samtidig som stormen farer som verst rundt the Pirate Bay, og deres tilhengere kjemper for “illegal” fildeling, ble Gogoyoko omtalt å tilby en ny type distribusjonsmodell for salg av musikk på nett. Ettersom Gogoyoko fasiliterer en direkte kobling mellom musikere og forbrukere, kan musikere markedsføre, distribuere og selge sin musikk på egne primisser.
