Tor Grønsund has joined our team as Advisor. Tor graduated with a M.Sc. degree in Innovation and Entrepreneurship from the University of Oslo in 2007, in addition to studies at Boston University – School of Management. Since graduating and during his studies, Tor has worked on projects for FAST and Schibsted among others, mainly focusing on commercialization issues, strategic analysis and the understanding of information technology and its application to business. Tor holds a Bachelor Degree in Information Sciences from the University of Bergen, including studies at the Department of Informatics at the Universita degli studi di Genova. Tor will be an important addition to the Ignitas team, and will mainly focus on areas such as project and business development, technology and product strategy.

Tor Grønsund er ansatt som Rådgiver i Ignitas. Tor fullførte i 2007 sin M.Sc. i Innovation and Entrepreneurship ved Universitetet i Oslo, i tillegg til studier fra Boston University – School of Management og Gründerskolen. Han har bachelor grad i Informasjonsvitenskap ved Universitetet i Bergen, herunder studier fra Informatikk ved Universita degli studi di Genova. Under, og etter utdannelsen sin har Tor jobbet på prosjekter for blant annet FAST og Schibsted. Tor vil jobbe med våre kunder innenfor teknologi og media med hovedfokus på kommersialisering, strategiske analyser og produktstrategi.

AnsuR has won the prestigious DnBNOR Innovation Award in the Communications and Collaborative Technology with their ASIGN concept. The price is for 300.000 NOK (approx 37.000 Euro), and is thus still competing in the overall final for 1 Million NOK. The ASIGN concept offers the possibility to communicate with high quality photos in near real time with embedded GPS. These capabilities open several new service options such as  real time interactive inspection, quality management and supervision, rapid mapping and combination with latest earth observation, e.g. for UN operations and the fastest possible photo input globally for e.g. web publication.  ASIGN combines years of research and development with the latest technology in satellite communications, in particular from Inmarsat BGAN, earth observation, mapping and navigation. AnsuR’s founder, Dr. Harald Skinnemoen, is thanking the company’s employees and partners, among them Ignitas. “We still have many ideas we wish to see implemented. AnsuR har vunnet DnBNOR’S prestisjefulle Innovasjonspris i kategorien Kommunikasjons- og samarbeidsteknologi med sitt ASIGN-konsept. Prisen er på kr. 300.000, og AnsuR er dermed i posisjon til å vinne hovedprisen på kr. 1 million i finalerunden. ASIGN-konseptet gjør det mulig å sende ut visuell informasjon, samt data om eksakt plassering på kloden til mange personer globalt, samtidig og i sanntid. Løsningen benytter satellitter til både innsamling og distribusjon av informasjon og data, og vil særlig ha relevans i kritiske situasjoner knyttet til nødhjelp, telemedisin, katastrofehåndtering, overvåkning, sikkerhet og fredsbevarende operasjoner.
