This week Ignitas took a financial stake in the start-up Meetcon, the sole distributor of WiredRed software in the Nordic countries. WiredRed is a technology leader in real-time communication. The company’s secure, multipoint routing technology powers its e/pop product line, which includes multiparty video conferencing, web conferencing and secure IM software. In addition, we will lead the further capitalisation activities of Meetcon. Ignitas partners Gard Jenssen and Runar Eidsaa will join Meetcon’s advisory board. With this deal Ignitas owns 15% of the company.

Denne uken tok Ignitas en eierpost i oppstartsselskapet Meetcon. Meetcon er enedistributør i Norden av produktene til WiredRed som ble etablert i San Diego i 1998 og som i dag er en ledende leverandør av sanntids kommunikasjonsteknologi som video-og webkonferanser. WiredRed har mer enn 3 500 kunder verden over. Selskapet har flere prestisjefylte installasjoner i det amerikanske forsvaret samt FBI og MI6. I tillegg til rådgiving på flere områder vil Ignitas forestå den videre kapitalisering av selskapet. Ignitas vil aktivt arbeide i advisory board og styret gjennom Gard Jenssen and Runar Eidsaa og besitter nå 15% av aksjene i selskapet.

We’re excited to announce that we’ve just signed a contract with Ground Control Labs AS. Under the terms of the contract Ignitas will assist Ground Control Labs with strategic advice and partnership deals due to global distribution of their services and business development. What makes us especially excited is that this contract gives us the opportunity to work with an almost avantagardistic technology that will transform the way and the reasons people around the globe use their mobile phones. Ground Control Labs is a spin-out of Telenor R&I, with the three founders taking part of their project from their ground-breaking work at the Nordic Telecom giant’s research lab. En avtale med Ground Control Labs denne uken gjør oss oppglødde. Etter avtalen skal Ignitas hjelpe Ground Control Labs med strategiske råd, distribusjonsavtaler og forretningsutvikling. As if celebrating new year is not enough, this week Ignitas signed a long term contract with Restplass.no - one of Norway’s leading online travel agencies. Ignitas will act as advisors to the Restplass.no management and board, focusing on traffic, product and business strategies, as well as plans for international expansion. We believe Restplass.no is extremely well placed for growth not only through its established brand awareness but also through its recent marketing/ownership deal with TV2.
